Influences: Many and
varied. As a newspaper boy for the old Chicago Daily News, I
have special regard for Bill Mauldin. Others in my panoply
of mentors include Pat Oliphant, Herblock, the great British
cartoonist David Low, Boardman Robinson, Robert Minor, Art
Young, Jeff MacNelly, and Vaughan Shoemaker.
Delacroix, Whistler, Homer, Goya, and the Wyeths have
mention as well.
